Temenos hires new CTO and global head of architecture and data

Temenos, a global leader in banking technology, today announced it has strengthened its product leadership team with two strategic appointments. Rohit Chauhan joins as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and Eugene Khmelevsky joins as Global Head of Architecture and Data. The two executives, based out of the U.S., report to Barb Morgan, Temenos’ Chief Product and Technology Officer, highlighting the company’s strategic investment in talent to accelerate growth and innovation.

Rohit Chauhan will lead the development of Temenos’ overall technology strategy, innovation, research and development driving co-innovation with customers and partners. He will enhance the flexibility of Temenos’ platform to advance Temenos’ best-of-suite core banking and modular solutions to address the evolving needs of financial institutions of all sizes.

Rohit Chauhan is an accomplished technology and banking executive with over 20 years of experience, and an in-depth knowledge of the U.S. and U.K. financial landscape from his leadership roles in large banks.

Rohit joins from JPMorgan where he was Managing Director and Global Head of Digital Channels Technology. Rohit held several leadership positions in JPMorgan for over 12 years. During his tenure he led the bank’s digital channels strategy driving revenue growth in their payments business by modernizing the core platform and making it cloud-native along with deploying next generation innovative experiences for customers across all channels globally. Prior to that, Rohit was Executive Director at Morgan Stanley for almost a decade where he was leading the Clearing technology group for exchange traded derivatives.

In this newly created role, as Global Head of Architecture and Data, Eugene Khmelevsky will ensure Temenos’ architecture and data foundation supports a modular, flexible product strategy. He brings over 25 years of experience in technology and banking software development coupled with deep knowledge of the US financial landscape and established technology vendors. Eugene held various technology leadership role in software development, digital and payments at FIS. As Chief Mobile Architect at JCPenney, he built and launched their next-generation digital store and mobile experience. Most recently, he led platform technology and development at a cloud-native startup for embedded finance.
